LEGACY OF SCHOOL

The V. M. Public School was established in 1963 by our late Founder Mr. M. A. Rangoonwala, to make quality education available to the underprivileged masses. The objective of the V. M. Public School is to provide 'Education for All,' which is further supported by generous scholarships given to the students by the Rangoonwala Trust.

The school's vision is to provide high-quality education to children from less privileged backgrounds so that they get a better future. V. M. Public School has always aimed at providing all-round development from physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and moral growth & to develop critical thinking and skills. The school is managed by a principal and two coordinators. One is in charge of the Primary Section & the other looks after the Secondary Section. Sufficient strength of teachers is recruited for both Sections. There are 13 people support staff for various duties.

Our Mission Vision Aim

Vision

We aim to create positive and sustainable change, uplifting the lives of the less privileged and fostering a more equitable society.

Mission

Dedicated to serving humanity, our mission is to promote art and culture, while providing exceptional education and healthcare services to underprivileged communities

Aim

1. To provide for the holistic development of the child, which includes physical, social, emotional, cognitive and moral development.

2. To develop critical thinking skills.

Academic Achievement:

We are incredibly proud of our students' hard work, as the majority have met academic standards. We successfully secured a 100% pass once again in SSC Board Exams! Aimen Hussain topped the Science group with an impressive 90.90%, while Sarrah Qureshi led the General group with 76.6%. These are indeed impossible without the dedicated services of our teachers, who still guide and mentor our students along the path of development.

School Event

Jawan Champions:

At the YSTI sports event held on November 28-29, 2023, our students showcased their athletic prowess. Boys teams emerged as runners-up and champions in different cricket and running categories. Meanwhile, the girls' teams won Danish Rounder at the district finals and emerged runners-up at the city level. Much appreciated was their sportsmanship and discipline.

Summer Gala:

We concluded the school year with a fun-filled "Summer Mela" that combined a traditional fair with the live screening of a Cricket World Cup match. This lively event brought our school community together for a memorable and exciting day.

Storytelling Event:

Our Pre-primary students participated in their storytelling presentations on 8th and 9th December 2023, in both English and Urdu. It gave them good opportunity to develop public speaking skills, express their creativity, and observe their confidence level. Their performances were appreciated by parents, teachers, and classmates alike.

Early Childhood Education (ECE):

From August 2023 to May 2024, our training covered child development, assessment, and lesson planning in ECE. Inspired by valuable feedback, we continue the revision of modules in order to make practical applications of these skills easier for teachers themselves. Graduates were also given the opportunity to receive a 3-month free ECE certificate touching on responsive caregiving, health, nutrition, safety, and early learning amongst other areas. The course met the core standards for national curriculum on diversity, interactive engagement, and creative arts.

Affiliation with AKU-EB:

We are pleased to announce that our affiliation with Aga Khan University Examination Board is successfully completed. This would guarantee reliably administered assessments presently recognized by Government of Pakistan for our students. Starting May 2026, our students will appear for SSC I examinations through AKU-EB, and our school will be entitled to availing free teacher training sessions from the board.

Alumni Get-Together:

For the very first time in June, there was an Alumni Get-Together which drew a participation of over 300 that gave opportunity for ex-students to reconnect with each other and network. It was also an occasion to record information about their achievements to inspire all current students and update our school's records.

After-School Programme (ASP):

We launched our first-ever After-School Programme on 5th September 2023 to offer an overall experience to the children beyond academics. The activities involved in this three-day-a-week program were Team Sports, Cooking, Archery, Coding, and Fine Arts were there. This program was an exciting addition in the school life of the students of Classes 5-10.
